This document summarizes which clans and sects control which cities or      
regions. This is a non-exclusive list designed to permit new players to develop 
character backgrounds that do not conflict with existing lore-locked +news      
files. This is made available publicly solely for OOC convenience. Your         
character may treat the information below as IC knowledge only if your character
has Camarilla Lore 3, comes from the city or region referenced, or else the     
information is specifically referenced in lore-locked +news files to which he or
she has access.

note characters with vampire history in Sabbat or Unknown regions require full  
applications and will likely not be approved. Some exceptions may be made for   
vampires with history in San Diego or Mexico dating to before 1950. Mortals can

Please note that just because a clan may have a prince in a    
city does not preclude other clans from having an influential presence in the   
city. E.g. The Tremere have a strong presence in Boston, Denver, and San        
Francisco, the Ventrue have a strong presence in Atlanta, Chicago, Las Vegas,   
Phoenix, and Toronto, and the Nosferatu have a strong presence in Berlin and New
York.

If you have an approved background that identifies another city    
where a clan dominates, please +feedback (+help ooc/feedback). The approved     
background is not binding upon the MUSH until it is in this +news file.
     

England, Scotland, and Wales serve as the global stronghold of Clan Ventrue     
under the named authority of a single Ventrue 'King' rather than Prince. This   
King, residing in London, by accounts is a Prince of Princes in the British     
Isles. Staunchly and conservatively Camarilla, this realm serves as a solitary  
exception to the fragmented principalities that comprise all other Camarilla

A huge conglomeration of light and ostentation rises out of the desert, filled  
with mortals in search of pleasure, escape, and fortune. It is the perfect      
environment for a vampire: thousands upon thousands of fresh vessels moving in  
and out of the city every day. It is a predator's dream: a turkey shoot without 
parallel in the undead world. Ruling over this city is the powerful Brujah      
Prince Trevor Gann. Those who have studied the city and its ways may read on,   
and learn of this dark jewel of the desert.                                     

"Santa Barbara" - a term used in Los Angeles to describe the areas
of Santa Barbara, Montecito, and Goleta, is a small, wealthy community located  
about an hour and a half north of Los Angeles along the coast. Sometimes        
referred to as the American Riviera, it is named, like so many cities in        
California, after the mission that was established there, and it is part of a   
thin strip of "shoreline" communities that stretch from Ventura to    
Morro Bay. The Santa Barbara Mission is sometimes called "The Queen of the 
Missions" for its beauty and its hilltop location overlooking the sea.     
Likewise, the community of Santa Barbara is one of the most beautiful in the    
state, with a magnificent blend of Victorian, Spanish, Mediterranean, and even  
Moorish architecture, nestled in between the ocean and the St. Ynez mountains.  
The population of the area is still small - the area has perhaps 150,000        
residents. The downtown areas are well-kept and filled with old buildings and   
parks, the beaches are clean and wide. Historical landmarks abound. A few       
minutes north of town, in Goleta, is the University of California, Santa Barbara
(UCSB).
                                                                     

Santa Barbara's small population cannot support a large population of the   
undead. There are only four established vampires in the area, although the      
temporary residents can occasionally bring the population closer to ten. The    
"Prince" of Santa Barbara is the Ventrue Anthony Wilmington. All four 
permanent residents comprise the primogen council, and all four are on          
relatively good terms with each other. They are primarily interested in         
protecting Santa Barbara and maintaining it as a haven of beauty and solitude.  

As Los Angeles is a bastion of the Camarilla on the West Coast, so is San Diego 
a bastion of the Sabbat. Everyone knows this. If this is all you know of San    
Diego, then you count yourself fortunate.                                       

San Francisco is one of the jewels in the North American Camarilla crown. To

Throughout the Southwest, there are dozens of sprawling cities being brought to 
life out of the desert sands. Tucson is one of them - smaller than many but with
a vibrant economy and a large University. It is a generic city in many respects,
with little to set it apart from others in the area. But it has secrets all its 
own….
