age
Usage:	+age/min
+age/max
+age/average

These commands should be self explanatory.

ambiance
	+ambiance <room>

This command will emit messages to a room, indicating backdrop events going on. For example, a park might have a night game of softball.

The messages will be selected randomly from attributes whose name matches the pattern:
&AMBIANCE_*
For example:
&AMBIANCE_TRAFFIC here=The nearby freeway is jammed with drivers stuck in gridlock.

The message will emit prefixed by <Ambiance> - so can be colored differently or otherwise suppressed. This does not mean it can be disregarded.

To remove ambiance:
+noambiance *

build (p. 1)

+build Room Name|coords|compass-to|Exit To|Exit Back
+build/domain (SM|SC|GD)

Digs a room and creates two exits linking this new room to the one in which the builder is standing. NOTE: This command uses @force, so the builder MUST have permission from the server to build where they are. The room is given the room name and the coordinates are placed in an attribute on the room. The compass heading is added to the compass name as an alias, and the exit names provided should have NO aliases in parenthesis given by the user. Providing an exit with the 'o' alias will add on the list of 'out' exit aliases. Any extra aliases inside the semicolon list are placed onto the exits as well, but the command will NOT provide these for the user. i.e. 'library' will not be automatically broken down into library;librar;libra;lib etc.

Examples:
+build Sewers|A1|d|Down|Up;o
+build Waterfront|Z3|w|Waterfront;water;wf|City;o;c

Please note: This is not how you get your first room in a building project. Once you have your builder, see '+news build/gimme' on how to begin it.
---------- build (p. 2) ----------

+build Room Name|coords|compass-to|Exit To|Exit Back
+build/domain (SM|SC|GD)

Use of the /domain switch handles adding the name of the domain and setting the color of the room name. The currently valid domain codes are SM (Santa Monica), SC (South Central), and GD (Greater Downtown). Using +build/domain will update the name and color and parent of a room correctly even if the command has been previously used on it.

Examples:
+build/domain GD

Note that the parent set will be the outdoor parent for the Domain, and indoor rooms will need to be switched to the indoor parent (see +news build/parents). &HOOD and &GRID attributes must still be added manually (see +news build/coord).

census
+census/domain	Lists percentage of characters in each domain

+census/clan Lists percentage of vampire characters in each clan

You are encouraged in chargen to try to fill in obvious gaps. Consult a RegArch for more detailed information on what sorts of characters are needed in their particular domain.

See also: +census/clan2 and +census/domain2 for pretty colors.

channels
Channels are an OOC method of communication. Each channel is devoted to a certain topic and you may join any that you see listed. The following are valid commands for this system:

+clist/terse - Lists all channels you may join in a 3 column format.
+channel/list +clist - Lists all channels you may join.
+channel/join <name> +cjoin <name> - Join a channel
+channel/leave <name> +cleave <name> - Leave a channel
=<name> <text> - Send a message to the channel.
+channel/who <name> +cwho <name> - List people currently listening.

When referring to a channel at any time, you need only to put in enough of the name to make it unique. If no other channel begins with that letter, for instance, you only have to put in the first letter of the channel.

death
Usage:	+death

Displays information on how your character would die when it finally comes to an end.

desc
See: +help admin/desc

feedback (p. 1)

The +feedback command is based on the +jobs code by Starfleet@Anomaly. Standard commands are as follows (detailed further on further pages):

+feedback/pitch <title>=<description>
+feedback/request <title>=<description>
+feedback/bug <title>=<description>
+feedback/typo <typo description>

See also: +help ooc/myjobs and +news policies/accessing staff
---------- feedback (p. 2) ----------

+feedback/pitch <title>=<description>

This command tosses an idea to staff. The idea can be story related or just an idea on how to make the game better. PITCH jobs are different from those created with +feedback/request. They are not issued due dates. Staff is under no obligation to even answer them. By procedure, they are either discarded with no fanfare, tucked away for future implementation or they are run with either in modified or unmodified form.

For story pitches, it puts a story idea into the RP jobs bucket. Now, this is not a request for a TP, this is a method of giving story ideas, or theme ideas, to the staff for consideration. If you want to request a scene, use +feedback/request.

+feedback/request <title>=<description>

This command requests <title> and <description> from staff. The request is added to the jobs list and will be tended to as soon as possible. Please do not bug staff - it will be handled shortly. There is a standard three day turnaround time on +feedback/requests.

See also: +help ooc/myjobs
---------- feedback (p. 3) ----------

+feedback/bug <title>=<description>

This command is used for bug reporting. In <title> put the command that is bugged, or something else appropriate. Please be as descriptive as possible in the <description> field. What were the results you were expecting? What happened in its place? By giving lots of detail here, it saves us the time of tracking you down to drag the information out of you. Thanks.

+feedback/typo <typo description>

This command reports a typo. Please be specific about where the typo is, what the typo is, and what you think it should be changed to.

finger (p. 1)
	+finger <player>

Displays information about the player, if specified. All info is taken from attributes on the character (e.g., &position me=<text>, &fullname me=<text>, et cetera) except for last connection and location. Site infomation is given only on a voluntary basis. The fields:

(Use to set links to home pages, photos, etc.)
Staff also see dbnums for the player and his/her location.

See also: +help ooc/who
---------- finger (p. 2) ----------

myjobs

+myjobs
+myjob <#>

ooc (p. 1)
+ooc -	Takes you OOC to the The Green Room
+ic - Brings you IC, returning you to your last IC location, if any
+ic/fix - If you're stuck, you can use this to go back IC to a set location

These are convenience commands, no security or babysitting is added on.

---------- ooc (p. 2) ----------

ooc <message>
ooc/remind

The first command will broadcast an <OOC> message to your location so you can speak out of character with others. If someone is obfuscated in your area and you cannot penetrate that obfuscation, the name of the player will appear as 'Someone'. If you can penetrate it, you will see 'Player Name (Obfuscated)'. Using 'ooc/remind', you can broadcast a message that indicates that the OOC spam is getting out of control. Please use this wisely.

quake

The Earthquake effects have been removed.

Recovery efforts have put the city mostly back to normal.

request
Usage:	+request <name>=<email address>		+request/alt <name>

+request is used to request a main character with the specified name. This character will be created automatically and the password emailed to you at the address you specified. The name must be a single word name, but can be changed with @name after you connect. An email address must be provided and only one main character is allowed per player using the +request command.

+request/alt is used to request a second character. You must be logged in as a character already created using +request to use +request/alt. The second character will be marked as an 'alternate', and will not be allowed to become a vampire or other supernatural.

The email address you provide is stored in a hidden attribute (only select TechStaff and ThemeStaff can see) and considered confidential. It is protected by our Privacy policy (+news policies/privacy). If you want other players to see your email address you must set it yourself in &EMAIL.

See also +help on: ooc/showcontact ooc/setcontact ooc/setmain

selfboot

If you have "extra" connections from network hiccups, you can type:
+selfboot
to disconnect your imposter logins.

setcontact
Usage:	+setcontact <email address>

This command changes your contact email address to that specified. It will also change your password, and email the new password to both the old, and new contact addresses.
You should use this command if your email address changes, so that the TechArchs can contact you in an emergency.

The email address you provide is stored in a hidden attribute (only TechArchs can see) and considered confidential. It is protected by our Privacy policy (+news policies/privacy). If you want other players to see your email address you must set it yourself in &EMAIL.

See also +help on: ooc/request ooc/showcontact

setmain
Usage:	+setmain <player>

+setmain changes one of your alternate characters to be your main character instead. You must use this command from your main character, and <player> must be one of your alternates. Your main character must not be a vampire for this to work.

Your main character becomes an alternate character, and the specified alternate becomes your main character.

See also +help on: ooc/request

showcontact
Usage:	+showcontact

This command shows you the contact email address you have set. You can only use this command on yourself, and there is no hidden staff version to view other peoples contact info.

The email address you provide is stored in a hidden attribute (only TechArchs can see) and considered confidential. It is protected by our Privacy policy (+news policies/privacy). If you want other players to see your email address you must set it yourself in &EMAIL.

See also +help on: ooc/request ooc/setcontact

staff
+staff

This command will display a list of online and on duty staff along with their title.

stafflist
+stafflist
+stafflist/<text>

This command will list all staff members and their title by simply typing '+stafflist'. By adding some text following a '/' the system will give you only those staff members whose title has that text within it.

Examples:
+stafflist/tech (lists anyone with 'tech' in their title)
+stafflist/arch (lists anyone with 'arch' in their title)

sweep
+sweep
Sends disconnected players to the OOC rooms.

+sweep/hidden

Scans the room for dark and/or hidden, listening entities.

(1): This command should be used sparingly. All others in the room will
be informed of its use. See (3).
(2): Identities of obfuscated people will not be revealed.
(3): Recommended protocol:
IC: Pose appropriate precautions being taken.
OOC: Use 'ooc' to forwarn possible obfuscators to leave
OOC: Provide ample time for such response
OOC: Employ +sweep/hidden to verify compliance
(Engage in cooperative negotiation otherwise)
(4): Builders - set &hidesafe here=true to disallow
use of +sweep/hidden in that location.
(5): Note this command ignores auspex effects so anyone
DARK or obfuscating (even yourself) will show positive.

vac

To let folks know you are on vacation, please use the command:

+vac <message>

Where <message> is something like 'Back in August'

This will auto-clear when you next log in to the character.

verify
Usage: +verify

Wondering what those messages which start with <<VERIFY>> are? They're messages from the code which arbitrates checking stats, etc. Basically, they're set up to be very hard to spoof. If you want to make sure a message like that wasnt spoofed, just type '+verify'. Eg:

<<VERIFY>> Santiago has a strength of at least 4.
> +verify
Recent Verifiable Messages:
1m ago - Santiago has a strength of at least 4.

who
	+who
+who <partial name>

Displays a table of people connected to the MUSH, including their sex, idle time, location (if findable), and city-area they are in IC. <partial name> can be used to see only those whose name begins with <partial name>.
" ooc" indicates being outside the City areas. *NEW indicates a new player.
" ooc" is also flagged by players or locations being set HAVEN. This must carefully be considered and approved. Perhaps we need a policy for this.
Some codes next to the names:
A Architect
B Builder character
Staff also see:
u Location is Unfindable
U Character is unfindable (this is bad)
o Obfuscated character
x Set NOWHO (only visible to staff with backstage priviledge)
d Set DARK
D Set DARK and NOWHO

+yp will provide categories that list different types of role-play venues available on the grid. (The 'yp' stands for yellow pages.)
+yp/list <category> will list all entries in one category, including the name, grid location, and OOC contact for the venue.

This is an OOC tool to find venues for role-play that are appropriate for your character.
---------- yp (p. 2) ----------
	+yp/addcategory <category>
+yp/addentry <category>=<entry name>/<dbref of main room>/<name of OOC contact>
+yp/removeentry <category>=<entry number>

+yp/addcategory will add a category to the yellow pages. Please make sure to capitalise everything correctly.
+yp/addentry will add <entry name> to <category> as well as add the room dbref and the player's dbref that's OOCly the contact person.
+yp/removeentry will simply delete an entry from the <category> listing.
